I’m lost
I’m torn
I’m troubled
I see if I can escape
Escape
To places where I should not be
I can’t return
Crossed over
Crossed that place in time
Crossed
Crossed that line
I know where I want to be
Know where I need to be
It’s not the same as where I am
Or where I should be
Fragments of me
Lost in memory
Dreaming
Thoughts
My thoughts
Not perfect
I long for the past
The present can stay
I think of those choice days
I could reconfigure
To change my steps
Realign what I need to do
So I can end up…

Dedicated to the “Ones” who got away! It’s the whole go back in time and “What would I do different?” question. It’s me telling my past love that I didn’t even know I had; of the desire to change history to be with them. It’s the sadness that comes with knowing that such things will and cannot ever happen…???

“Before I Open My Eyes”

Absentee:
I’m in an escape, which I needed
Pain has left for a time
Hurt passed for a while
Things I don’t want; can wait
Everything in silence just for now…
Peace is mine.

Lyric:
Peace is my focus…
While metered breathing ushers me
Down the path of spirituality
I visualize the wanted me
As if she is a dream…Unreal…
She helps me reach within the shell of collected discards

Absentee:
Strength is my next transition
Fortify…
Black and white.
Simplify…
I have somewhere to be
Someplace to reach
Forward
I will not. Can not
Let the past and what is in front of me
Start to begin stopping me…
So I hold my strength
Hold my peace.

Lyric:
My truth within me
Hold my clarity
My sanity
I hold this moments serenity
Preparing me
For the journey ahead of me.

Absentee:
Before… I open my eyes.
I know I will move mountains.
I will accomplish all goals.
I will endure love given to me in triple fold

This is actually the second writing from Dual Perspective for the 2013. This one is about focusing on what you want then going to get it. Speaking your own future and blessings. As we go about this life we have to be able to fulfill our purpose. Dedicated to making your own dreams come through with God’s hand and will always present.

“Traveling To The Other Side”

I see a tomb, a ditch
(a black hole)
a road with a crater in it
I have been here awhile
(for some time now)
standing at the edge of it
captivated, bewildered, astonished
(you wouldn’t believe what I have used to try to fill this shit)
I can see the other side
(the goal is to get to it)
pain, forgiveness, love, hate, questions, answers, family, loneliness…
Whatever it takes
(God, devil, clothes, nakedness… money,poverty,school, life friends, time and experience…)
life is what it takes to fill it
(Dont forget life is what you make it)
I think its safe now
jump in climb out of it.
can’t even think of not braving it
put way to much time and effort into it
come this far and not put my all to it.
(I know… We not having it)
before I go on a whim to accomplish it
I love you…
And always remember…
Some things in life are worth dying for it!

NaPoWriMo: Day 13 Prompt

I’m ready…
The day is done
Or is it the night?…
Its cold out there
And the sun wont be bright
Snows coming down
Wind blowing right
Just means the cold is going to bite
Punch these numbers to the clock
Everything buttoned
Check…
Everything tight
Check…
I’m off
Starting my day by ending my night
Lets make this as speedily as possible
Feet sinking into the powder
Step by quick step
these moccasins are going to get wet
slush, slide,
down the street
through the hotel parking lot
down the back then up the bridge
down the bridge
I can feel the jacket getting heavy with the spring snow
white turns to brown
as traffic slides by slow
some splash and miss me
I’m walking on
tam down low
headphones on
I’ve reached my destination
waiting for this bus to get on
